Privacy Policy & Data Sovereignty Architecture
Effective Date: November 2026 · Applies to TuxNest Desktop, TuxNest SSH and the related ecosystem.
1. Zero publisher-hosted inference & telemetry
TuxNest states that it does not operate a publisher-hosted inference proxy, collect bundled product telemetry, or intentionally store or train on your source code, prompts, API keys or terminal outputs. Independently configured endpoints, OS services and external integrations have their own data flows.
2. Microsoft Store listing & binary integrity
TuxNest Desktop is listed in the Microsoft Store under Paladugu Ganesh Naidu. Use the store's current package details and your operating-system security settings to assess the installed version.
3. Where your data travels
Local mode (loopback): When using only a compatible local Ollama server at 127.0.0.1 without external integrations, inference traffic stays on the local device.
Remote GPU (TuxNest SSH): Selected prompts and workspace context travel through the configured encrypted SSH tunnel to a remote GPU host you own or are authorized to use. Ordinary workspace files stay local unless an operation explicitly transfers them.
Third-party API mode: Requests go from your device to the provider or endpoint you selected. The provider's own terms and privacy policy apply.
4. Explicit permission & human review
The product's intended engineering model includes explicit permission boundaries, reviewable diffs, validation and recovery. Verify the behavior of the particular installed release before handling confidential work.
5. Contact & updates
For release-specific implementation details, refer to the ecosystem privacy page and the release status.
